North America’s largest tank trucking company, Kenan Advantage Group (KAG), has acquired Fisher Transport, a Nova Scotia-based liquid bulk hauler, through its Canadian subsidiary, KAG Canada. Fisher Transport primarily hauls milk along Canada’s Atlantic Coast, moving 200 million liters of raw milk annually, among other food-grade products and chemicals.
The acquisition includes 60 tractors, 70 specialized trailers, and new alliances with Canadian dairy farmers. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. KAG aims to offer coast-to-coast bulk transportation services to all customers.
Fisher Transport’s President and CFO will remain in senior leadership positions, along with their 60 drivers and 15 operations staff, now part of KAG Canada. Fisher Transport CEO Ken MacDonald looks forward to the opportunities joining KAG will bring to the company and its team.
KAG, based in North Canton, Ohio, operates around 300 terminals and a fleet of 7,000 tractors. The company expanded its presence in the ISO tank services market in March with the acquisition of MC Tank Transport. This move further solidifies KAG’s position as an industry leader in bulk transportation.
