Kenco adds 4 warehouses in Canada as part of 3PL acquisition

Third-party logistics provider Kenco has acquired the 3PL arm of Drexel Industries in Ontario, Canada. The deal includes four warehouses serving Toronto, Detroit, and Buffalo, along with 100 employees. This acquisition expands Kenco’s presence in Canada, offering customers access to a broader network of warehouses and logistics services.

Drexel’s 3PL business provides dedicated and shared warehousing to B2B and B2C fulfillment platforms. They work with Amazon sellers and offer brokerage services and reverse logistics. Kenco plans to leverage Drexel’s packaging expertise across its platform, enhancing their supply chain management services.

Kenco, based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, now operates 43 million square feet of warehouse space. Drexel CEO Jason Salmon believes blending Kenco’s automation and technology with Canadian market knowledge will empower businesses across North America to reach new levels of distribution efficiency. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
