Kohl’s (KSS) appointed Michael Bender as Interim CEO after terminating Ashley Buchanan for cause due to undisclosed conflicts of interest in vendor transactions. Buchanan was fired for instructing a “highly unusual” deal involving a romantic partner, Chandra Holt. The decision followed an investigation overseen by the audit committee.
