In the first quarter of 2025, SalMar experienced a low harvest volume, resulting in operational EBIT of NOK 852 million in Norway and NOK 798 million for the Group. The farming segments faced challenges due to late harvesting and fish welfare concerns. SalMar continues to invest in sustainable salmon production, recently acquiring AS Knutshaugfisk and planning a merger with Wilsgård AS. Despite financial weakness, strong biological performance in the sea has led to record-high biomass for the season. SalMar expects a total harvest volume of 294,000 tons in 2025, with strong demand for their products despite global uncertainties.
