Malaysia Shares Expected To Open To The Upside On Wednesday

The Malaysia stock market extended gains, with the KLCI rising 2.32% to 1,582.39 points. Financial and industrial shares led the rally. Global markets are mixed to higher, following better-than-expected inflation data. On Wall Street, the Dow fell 0.64%, but the NASDAQ rose 1.61% and the S&P 500 gained 0.72%. Consumer prices in the U.S. rose less than expected in April, easing concerns about tariffs. UnitedHealth’s stock plunged 17.8% after suspending guidance. Crude oil prices surged to $63.67 a barrel on optimism about demand.
