Matador Technologies Inc. has closed the first tranche of its private placement, issuing 2,863,818 units at $0.55 per unit for gross proceeds of C$1,575,099. Each unit includes one common share and one-half of a warrant to purchase an additional share at $0.75. The offering is subject to an acceleration clause if share prices reach $1.05 for five consecutive days. The net proceeds will be split among purchasing Bitcoin, advancing gold acquisition and Grammies initiatives, and general corporate purposes. Insiders subscribed for 418,182 units. The offering is pending final approval from the TSX Venture Exchange.
