Miata Metals Confirms Gold in Bedrock at the Sela Creek
From GlobeNewswire: 2025-05-28 08:30:00
Miata Metals Corp. has announced positive results from the first nine holes drilled at the Sela Creek Gold Project in Suriname, with multiple veins containing near-surface gold discovered. The project area covers 215 km2, with Golden Hand representing only 2 km of a larger 8 km corridor of active and historic mining.
Several diamond drill holes at Golden Hand have yielded multiple gold intercepts, with individual assays showing 1.05 g/t Au over 7.5m and 5.46 g/t Au over 1.5m. The project is only 15% complete, with 8,500m of drilling remaining. Analysis indicates a widespread gold system in bedrock, with further assays pending.
Miata’s technical team is gaining insights into the bedrock mineralogy at Golden Hand, enhancing understanding of the structural controls. Results from the ongoing 10,000m drill program will be used to assess the open pit and underground potential of the mineralized system. Additional drilling is planned at this and six other high-priority targets at Sela Creek.
