Major League Soccer is partnering with Electronic Arts to stream four matches on EA Sports FC Mobile, starting with a rematch of the 2024 final game between Los Angeles Galaxy and New York Red Bulls. The games will also be simulcast on Apple TV’s MLS Season Pass, offering free trials and in-game currency to viewers. MLS is celebrating its 30th season with increased sponsorship and attendance, but still lags behind other major U.S. sports leagues in popularity. The league’s media rights deal with Apple has allowed for experimentation with various partners, leading to increased viewership and subscriber numbers for MLS Season Pass. Apple has expanded access to MLS Season Pass for pay-TV customers of Comcast’s Xfinity and DirecTV, as well as offering free access to T-Mobile users.
