Navis Capital Partners has sold its controlling stake in Vietnam’s Godaco Seafood through a management buyout. Godaco, founded in 1997, is a major exporter of pangasius catfish to over 70 countries, with a focus on quality and pricing. The company has an integrated platform with feed mills, farms, and processing plants. Navis’ investments helped Godaco expand operations and diversify its product line, making it a key player in Vietnam’s seafood industry. Vietnam’s pangasius exports hit $2bn in 2024, comprising 20% of the country’s total seafood exports. Future growth is expected due to competitive advantages over other whitefish producers.
