Nelipak to build new packaging facility in Costa Rica to support customer growth

Nelipak plans to build a new production site in Grecia, Costa Rica, to support customer growth in the region. The facility, set to start operations by mid-2026, will feature ISO-certified clean rooms and offer expanded warehousing space for healthcare packaging products.

The 60,000ft² facility will produce thermoformed trays, die-cut mounting cards, and various packaging products. It will be built to Nelipak’s specifications by Portafolio Inmobiliario and will support the local distribution of Nelipak’s healthcare packaging products.

Nelipak CEO Pat Chambliss expressed excitement about the investment, emphasizing the company’s commitment to serving customers globally, regionally, and locally. The move demonstrates Nelipak’s dedication to meeting the needs of the growing medical device manufacturing hub in Costa Rica.

In addition to the Costa Rica project, Nelipak recently announced an investment in sterile barrier medical packaging in the Asia-Pacific region. The company continues to expand its global footprint to better support customers with high-quality packaging solutions.
