Financial struggles stemmed from the inability to secure LNG at competitive prices due to credit rating issues. Operating margin at terminals and ships segments declined in Q1. New Fortress Energy posted a net loss of $197.4 million, compared to a net income of $56.7 million a year earlier. The company is valued at $1.93 billion.
