Nvidia is set to release a modified AI processor for China, stripped of high-bandwidth memory, to comply with U.S. export controls. The chip will be based on the previous-generation Hopper architecture. A Blackwell chip without HBM is also planned for release later in 2025 to navigate export restrictions.
