Premier Bulk Systems has acquired Longhorn Transportation, a bulk liquid hauler in New Brunswick, Canada. The deal expands Premier’s presence in the Maritime Provinces. Longhorn offers bulk liquid truckload services, including petroleum products, asphalt, and chemicals, as well as flatbed and dry van TL transportation.
Kevin Berry, Premier’s founder, believes the addition of Longhorn will lead to ongoing commercial success and future growth. Premier’s fleet consists of 120 tractors and 250 trailers, focusing on chemical and food-grade product transportation, along with equipment maintenance and tank-cleaning services.
Illinois-based Heniff Transportation Systems acquired Premier in 2021. Heniff’s network includes 2,000 tractors operating out of 100 locations. Longhorn’s founder, Ryan Butland, sees value in the alignment of Premier’s values, goals, and work ethic with the Longhorn brand, aiming to advance the team while maintaining a high level of safety and service for customers.
