Well-known investor Steve Weiss has reduced his holdings in UnitedHealth Group Incorporated (UNH) from 6% to just 1% as of Friday, citing concerns over Department of Justice investigations, President Trump’s drug pricing restrictions, and the departure of the firm’s CEO.

Weiss, Chief Investment Officer of Short Hills Capital Partners, plans to sell the remaining 1% of UNH shares to reduce capital-gains taxes for his investors. Despite this caution, he believes UNH is “very cheap” and is optimistic about its new CEO and CFO.

Although Weiss may repurchase shares in the future, he is currently wary of UNH due to potential legal challenges. He believes AI stocks offer better returns, pointing to an AI stock that has risen significantly in 2025 compared to popular AI stocks that have declined.
