QUALCOMM Incorporated (NASDAQ:QCOM) is reentering the data center CPU market with NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA), developing custom CPUs that efficiently connect with AI chips. CEO Cristiano Amon revealed talks with Meta Platforms and an AI firm in Saudi Arabia, aiming to diversify revenue streams with a target of $22 billion in non-handset revenue by 2029.

By incorporating its CPUs with NVIDIA’s GPUs, QUALCOMM aims to deliver high-performance, energy-efficient computing tailored for AI applications. This move aligns with the company’s strategy to diversify revenue streams, targeting $22 billion in non-handset revenue by 2029. The announcement was made at COMPUTEX 2025.
