PIF, Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, to sponsor revamped golf series on Ladies European Tour in Riyadh, South Korea, London, Houston, and China. The PIF Global Series will feature team and individual competitions with $13 million in prize money. PIF aims to empower female athletes and grow women’s sports globally.

Saudi Arabia has been investing heavily in women’s sports, including a multi-year partnership with the WTA Tour and fully funded maternity leave for women tennis players. However, PIF’s merger deal between LIV Golf and the PGA Tour has not materialized, despite efforts by President Donald Trump. The Aramco Korea Championship in Seoul starts Friday.
