Sensex, Nifty Seen Opening Little Changed

Indian shares are expected to open flat as global markets remain cautious about U.S. tariffs and fiscal deficit. Sensex and Nifty rose 0.6% on Monday, driven by gains in auto and banking stocks. The rupee closed at 85.10 against the dollar, up 35 paise, supported by a weak U.S. currency and RBI’s record dividend to the government. RBI seeks approval for domestic banks to lend rupee to overseas borrowers. Asian markets are mixed, dollar down, gold stable, and oil slightly lower. U.S. markets were closed for Memorial Day. European stocks closed higher as Trump postponed EU tariffs.
