The S&P 500 was at risk of ending its winning streak, trading below breakeven in the final hour and a half. The market benchmark was down 0.1%, dropping 1% at the open before recovering. Wall Street mostly ignored the Moody’s downgrade of U.S. sovereign debt.

The Dow rose 77 points, up 0.2%, with UnitedHealth stock rebounding and adding 130 points to the index. However, the Nasdaq was down 0.2% amidst the mixed trading day on Monday.
