TGI Fridays is undergoing a major brand relaunch on July 4, 2025, after being saved from closure by Breal Capital and Calveton in 2024. CEO Julie McEwan is leading the rejuvenation effort to reverse the brand’s decline, with board director Simon Wilkinson describing it as “the comeback of all comebacks.” The UK franchise now has 49 locations after closing two, following the acquisition from Hostmore. The US chain also received court approval to sell nine corporate-owned restaurants for $34.5m.
