The stock market’s fear gauge, the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX), dropped 2.35 points to 19.55 on Monday, signaling relative calm with any reading below 20. In April, the VIX spiked to over 60 due to trade tensions. DataTrek Research co-founder Nicholas Colas notes the quick return to normal levels.
