TLT Attracts $637M as Trade Tensions Calm Down

Inflows of $636.9 million boosted iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLT) assets to $48.7 billion as U.S. markets saw a fifth consecutive winning session. Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) gained $1.6 billion, while SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) had outflows of $2.4 billion. Overall, ETFs attracted $3.3 billion in new assets.
Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) attracted $986.6 million as Nasdaq-100 gained 6.8%, while First Trust Dow Jones Internet Index Fund (FDN) pulled in $528.7 million. U.S. fixed-income ETFs led with $2.5 billion in inflows, U.S. equity ETFs collected $2.3 billion, and commodity ETFs saw outflows of $1.1 billion.
SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) had $911.8 million in redemptions, and SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF Trust (DIA) lost $529.3 million despite the Dow gaining 332 points. U.S. equity ETFs led all asset classes with $2.3 billion in inflows, while international equity ETFs lost $504 million.
