BPX Exchange added to UK crypto register, part of UK's move to establish as crypto hub.

The BPX Exchange, a tokenization platform, has been added to the U.K.’s crypto register, allowing it to offer services in the country and promote its wider group. The FCA requires firms to register and comply with anti-money laundering and promotion rules, with 52 firms approved since 2020.

The U.K. is positioning itself as a crypto hub and tokenization center, with new legislation and consultations to establish industry rules. Tokenization involves creating a virtual investment vehicle on the blockchain linked to real-world assets like securities. Coinbase and BlackRock also recently joined the U.K. crypto register.
