Singapore’s RGE and TotalEnergies will develop a solar and battery project in Indonesia’s Riau Province. The initiative aims to supply clean energy to industrial areas and export solar power to Singapore, supporting Indonesia’s decarbonization goals and enhancing regional energy collaboration. The Co-Investment Agreement was signed in the presence of both countries’ presidents on May 28, emphasizing strong government support. TotalEnergies’ president highlights the project’s role in advancing renewable energy infrastructure in the region. RGE’s Managing Director emphasizes the partnership’s commitment to improving energy connectivity and advancing the energy transition. The project is expected to position Indonesia as a key player in the global renewable energy sector, generating skilled jobs and enhancing local supply chain capabilities while aligning with broader ASEAN goals for clean energy trade and regional integration. TTE has surged by nearly 6% since the start of 2025.
