Treasuries rebound as bond prices rise and 10-year yield drops

Treasuries rebounded on Thursday, with bond prices moving higher and the 10-year yield dropping 7.3 basis points to 4.455 percent. This followed a Labor Department report showing a 0.5 percent decrease in producer prices for April, contrary to expectations of a 0.2 percent increase. Retail sales in April saw a slight 0.1 percent increase, with a 0.1 percent rise in ex-auto sales. Industrial production remained unchanged in April, with a 3.3 percent surge in utilities output but a 0.4 percent and 0.3 percent decline in manufacturing and mining output, respectively.
