Healthcare and Financial sectors are lagging, with Healthcare stocks down 1.0% and Financial down 0.3%

In afternoon trading, Healthcare stocks are the worst performing sector, with a 1.0% loss. CVS Health Corporation (CVS) and Centene Corp (CNC) are down 5.1% and 4.7%, respectively. The Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) is down 2.4% on the day and 3.08% year-to-date. In comparison, CVS is up 39.93% year-to-date, while CNC is down 1.05%. The Financial sector is the next worst performer, with a 0.3% loss, led by UnitedHealth Group Inc (UNH) and Elevance Health Inc (ELV) down 16.1% and 8.1%, respectively.

Looking at the S&P 500 components, Energy is up 2.2%, Technology & Communications up 1.6%, and Industrial up 0.6%. Financial and Healthcare are down 0.3% and 1.0%, respectively.
