He has also been involved in promoting the UK’s financial sector and has chaired various organizations and invested in fintech companies.

UK Finance, a trade association representing over 300 firms in the UK, covers credit, banking, markets, and payment-related services. The organization plays a key role in formulating policies, engaging with the UK Government and regulators, and fostering collaboration within the industry to improve efficiency and customer outcomes. Bob Wigley’s reappointment as board chairman was confirmed at the latest UK Finance board meeting.
