A US federal court has frozen $57.65 million in USDC in a class action case over the controversial Libra memecoin. The frozen assets are linked to a lawsuit against Kelsier Ventures and others for creating Libra and misleading investors. The court will decide on asset freeze continuation on June 9.

Two Solana wallets containing $57.65 million in USDC were frozen on May 28. The freeze occurred after a federal court in NY temporarily froze around $57 million worth of USDC held by Circle. The frozen wallets are linked to a class-action lawsuit against Kelsier Ventures and other defendants over the creation of Libra.

Argentine President Javier Milei closed an investigation into the Libra scandal on May 19, shutting down a task force established to investigate the controversy. No action was taken against Milei or any other officials tied to the scandal, leading some to criticize the lack of a proper investigation.

Critics claim the investigation into the Libra scandal involving Argentine officials was not properly conducted. Economist Itai Hagman alleges that there was no legitimate investigation and that officials are covering up their involvement in the scandal. The lack of action has raised concerns about transparency and accountability in the investigation.
