US stock futures down after Monday’s comeback

U.S. stock futures point to a lower open after stocks rebounded despite Moody’s downgrade of the U.S. The S&P 500 index saw a sixth straight winning session, now 3% away from its record high. Dow futures slipped -0.21%, S&P 500 futures fell -0.37%, and Nasdaq futures dropped -0.47%.
Investors are watching upcoming quarterly results from Home Depot, Toll Brothers, and Target this week. Most companies have reported already, but these remain of interest to the market.
The Senate advanced cryptocurrency legislation to regulate stablecoins pegged to the dollar. The measure received bipartisan support, passing 66-32 to create the first U.S. regulatory framework for digital tokens.
