The USTA announced an $800 million investment to revamp U.S. Open facilities, the largest in tournament history. The project includes a renovation of Arthur Ashe Stadium and a new $250 million player performance center, all self-funded without public money. The upgrades aim to modernize the venue for the next 25 years.
Arthur Ashe Stadium will undergo significant changes with a new grand entrance, luxury suites, and added seats. The renovation will enhance the fan experience with modernized concourses, restrooms, and club areas. The project aims to elevate the U.S. Open experience for players and spectators alike.
The new $250 million player performance center will provide a state-of-the-art facility for nearly 2,800 players and their teams during the U.S. Open. The center will feature redesigned locker rooms, lounges, player dining, and a spa-like experience. Renowned architect Matt Rossetti will lead the project, expected to be completed by the 2027 event.
The USTA estimates the U.S. Open contributes $1.2 billion in annual economic impact to New York. The project will help maintain the tournament’s status as a premier global event. Despite construction, play and fan access will continue as planned for the 2026-27 U.S. Open, ensuring minimal disruption.
