Validation Cloud has launched a new large language model on the Hedera network, allowing DeFi users to access blockchain data in a more user-friendly way. The Mavrik-1 AI engine is designed to enable natural language queries for DeFi protocols and blockchain data. AI chatbots have been developed to assist users since 2023.

AI is projected to be a $15 trillion industry by 2030, with more activity moving to the decentralized web. Ernst & Young reported that AI and Web3 could address each other’s shortcomings, potentially boosting adoption. Use cases for AI in the blockchain industry are expanding, with venture capital pouring $73 billion into AI startups in Q1.

Venture capital funding for AI startups surged in the first quarter, with over $73 billion invested. One notable funding round was $40 billion for ChatGPT developer OpenAI. While crypto-focused VCs are excited about AI applications, some are cautious about investing until the technology matures further.
