Vermilion Energy to Sell Saskatchewan & Manitoba Assets for $415M

Vermilion Energy Inc. has announced the divestment of its Saskatchewan and Manitoba assets for $415 million in cash. The company plans to use the proceeds to pay off debt and strengthen its financial position. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025, pending regulatory approval.

The assets being sold produce around 10,500 boe/d and have Proved Developed Producing reserves of 30 million boe. There are also future abandonment liabilities worth $250 million. Vermilion expects its 2025 daily production to be between 120,000-125,000 boe and capital expenditures to be $680-$710 million.

Vermilion will focus on increasing free cash flow instead of production growth in 2025 and 2026. The company carries a Zacks Rank #3.
