Legendary investor Warren Buffett, known as the “Oracle of Omaha,” recently stepped down as Berkshire Hathaway CEO after 60 years. He influenced entrepreneurs like Bill Gates and Bill Ackman, and convinced eToro CEO Yoni Assia to focus more on stocks than crypto. Buffett publicly dislikes crypto, calling Bitcoin “rat poison squared.”

Assia, founder of eToro, shared Buffett’s influence on him during a CNBC interview. He revealed eToro was the first regulated European company to launch crypto trading. Assia reflected on the decision to delay going public until the company became profitable, emphasizing the importance of profitability before an IPO.

ETOR debuted on Nasdaq at $52 per share, opening at $69.69 and climbing to $74.28. Assia stated that while crypto made up 25% of revenue, stocks accounted for 75%. Despite the volatility, he believes in the longevity of crypto. The stock was trading at $64.40, a 3.83% decrease from the previous close.
