Wartsila and Megatugs have formed a strategic alliance to enhance underwater support solutions for the maritime sector. The collaboration aims to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and set new standards in underwater service. The partnership will offer a wide range of services, including inspections, maintenance, salvage, and emergency repairs.

The partnership combines Wartsila’s expertise in propulsion systems with Megatugs’ experience in underwater services. This collaboration will provide a proactive approach to vessel maintenance, ensuring quicker underwater maintenance and repair methods that are compliant with regulations. The alliance will also offer expanded global service coverage and advanced technologies for accurate diagnostics and repairs.

Wartsila’s managing director highlighted the importance of customer service and swift emergency response. The partnership with Megatugs will enhance their ability to support clients globally and respond promptly to emergencies. Last month, Wartsila announced plans to upgrade RT-flex main engines on bulk carriers to improve operational lifespan, performance, and fuel efficiency while reducing emissions.
