Wall Street’s indices had mixed finishes on Tuesday as investors reacted to lower-than-expected inflation figures. The Consumer Price Index for April rose by 0.2 percent, bringing the annual rate to 2.3 percent, the lowest since February 2021. Only the S&P 500 and Nasdaq saw gains, while the Dow Jones fell.

UnitedHealth Group Incorporated (UNH) continued its losing streak, dropping 17.79 percent on Tuesday due to the CEO’s resignation for “personal reasons.” The former CEO, Andrew Witty, will be replaced by Stephen J. Hemsley, who aims to return the company to its 13 to 16 percent growth objective.

Despite its potential, UNH ranks 2nd on the list of worst performers. The focus is shifting towards AI stocks for higher returns in a shorter timeframe. An AI stock has shown promise with gains since the beginning of 2025, making it a more attractive investment option compared to UNH.
