Wall Street indices ended the week strong with gains, led by Nasdaq at 1.51%, S&P 500 at 1.47%, and Dow Jones at 1.39%. Despite overall optimism, 10 companies saw declines due to poor Q1 earnings. Viavi Solutions Inc. (VIAV) dropped 12.30% on Friday due to lower guidance for Q4 2025.

Viavi Solutions Inc. (VIAV) expects Q4 earnings per share of $0.10-$0.13, below the consensus estimate of $0.14, with revenues projected at $278-$290 million compared to expected $293.6 million. In Q3, net income was $19.5 million, revenues rose 15.8% to $284.8 million.

For the nine-month period, VIAV swung to a net income of $26.8 million from a net loss of $4.1 million year-on-year. Net revenues also rose by 6% to $793.8 million from $748.4 million in the same period. VIAV ranks 4th on the list of Friday’s worst performers due to poor earnings performance.
