Canadian firm AgriFORCE Growing Systems Ltd. launches initiative to use stranded gas to power 120 Bitcoin mining rigs in Alberta. Site draws 425 kW for 32 PH/s, plans to expand with BlueFlare Energy. Signed agreement for more sites in Oyen and Hinton. CEO Jolie Kahn aims for quick conversion of gas to compute.

AgriFORCE has mined 7 BTC worth $735,000 in Alberta and Ohio. Plans to keep half in Bitcoin treasury and use other half for expansion. Firm may use 50% of raised capital to buy Bitcoin directly. Stock rose 1.85% but down 53% year-to-date.

Revenue for AgriFORCE increased by 317% in 2024, with net profit up by 66%. Miners seeking renewable energy sources for cost-effective mining. Cost to produce one BTC was $64,000 in Q1, expected to reach $70,000 by June 2025. Miners shifting towards renewable energy sources at 5.8% yearly growth rate.
