Crypto entrepreneur and podcast host Anthony Pompliano is in talks to launch a new Bitcoin fund called ProCapBTC, which aims to provide indirect access to Bitcoin for institutional investors. The fund is intended to merge with Columbus Circle Capital 1, a blank-check company that raised $250 million in its May 2025 IPO. The proposed raise for ProCapBTC is $500 million in equity and $250 million in convertible debt, with an announcement expected soon. Pompliano, a vocal Bitcoin proponent, currently leads a fintech-focused SPAC that raised $250 million in its IPO and trades under the ticker symbol PCAPU.
