Anthony Pompliano secured $750 million to take ProCap public in the US by merging with Columbus Circle Capital Corp. The combined company, ProCap Financial Inc., will have $1 billion in Bitcoin on its balance sheet. ProCap’s focus is on acquiring Bitcoin and developing products and services to generate revenue from its holdings.

ProCap Financial, along with Columbus, raised over $750 million for the deal through equity and convertible notes, with support from FalconX, Blockchain.com, and Eric Semler. ProCap will join other public companies holding Bitcoin, aiming to have $1 billion worth of BTC, potentially ranking it as the eighth largest holder among public firms.

The rush of crypto IPOs continues, with firms like Twenty One Capital and Tron planning to go public via SPAC mergers. ProCap’s move follows Circle Internet Group’s successful IPO, indicating growing interest in crypto-related offerings in the market.
