Reports of Iran’s willingness to resume nuclear talks with the US briefly boosted market sentiment, leading to gains in major US stock indices. However, sentiment reversed after US President Trump called for the evacuation of Tehran, sparking fears of US involvement. Concerns were further heightened by reports of oil tankers on fire in the Gulf of Oman. Despite this, WTI crude oil rebounded, but Gold prices declined. The Bank of Japan announced a slower pace of bond tapering to calm volatility in the bond market.
