Bank of America Hires JPMorgan Executive to Lead India Equity Markets Unit

Bank of America has hired Satish Arcot from JPMorgan Chase to lead its capital markets unit in India, aiming to strengthen its investment banking presence. Arcot, with two decades of financial services experience, will join as a managing director in Mumbai following leadership changes earlier this year.

Bank of America is looking to rebuild its position in India after the departure of three senior investment bankers last November. Satish Arcot, an executive director at JPMorgan, has been selected to help lead the bank’s efforts. Both Bank of America and JPMorgan declined to comment on the matter.

Bank of America has been operating in India since 1964, providing investment banking services to large corporates, financial institutions, and government entities. While Bank of America is seen as a strong investment, some believe that certain AI stocks offer greater potential upside and less downside risk.
