Former Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz is buying a branded residence at ORA by Casa Tua in Miami. He sold his Miami-area mansion for $10.6 million two years ago. Ortiz spent 14 seasons with the Red Sox, winning three World Series. He recently posed at the building’s sales office with his broker.

Ortiz is purchasing a three-bedroom luxury home in a 77-unit building for $3.25-$3.75 million. His ex-wife oversaw the development of their former mansion, buying the lot for $1.5 million in 2016. Ortiz earned $22 million in 2016, with $16 million from his salary and additional earnings from endorsement deals.

In 2015, Ortiz signed a $16 million contract with the Red Sox, earning over $160 million in his career. He was shot in 2019 but recovered. Ortiz reflected on the incident, realizing how life can change in seconds. His former Miami mansion is now listed for $11.5 million as he purchases a new condo.
