Former customers of Bernard Madoff will receive $498.3 million in a settlement with the liquidators of two Luxembourg funds, bringing their total recovery to $15.26 billion. The funds had invested with Madoff before his firm collapsed in 2008. Court approval is pending, with a hearing set for June 25. Picard has recovered $14.76 billion for Madoff customers, with payouts going to 2,656 valid claims. Another $4.3 billion has been awarded to other victims through the Madoff Victim Fund. Madoff died in prison in April 2021 after being sentenced to 150 years for his Ponzi scheme.
