United Airlines (UAL) considered undervalued by analysts, optimistic despite challenges

United Airlines Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:UAL) is among the 10 most undervalued industrial stocks to buy according to analysts, despite a 19% decline in share prices this year. Analysts remain optimistic about UAL’s performance, even after the Iran-Israel military conflict led to a marginal decrease in price target due to higher fuel costs and summer travel season impact.

United Airlines faced challenges this year, including safety concerns, trade war fallout, immigration issues, and macroeconomic uncertainties, impacting its profitability. The company issued two profit outlooks in April, citing adjusted EPS guidance of $11.50 to $13.50 if conditions remain stable, potentially dropping to $7 in a US recession scenario.

In response to ongoing challenges, UAL announced a partnership with JetBlue Airways named ‘Blue Sky’. Analysts view this agreement positively, as it offers synergies between the two airlines’ networks. The deal does not involve code sharing or joint revenue planning, minimizing regulatory concerns and enhancing operational efficiency.

United Airlines Holdings Inc. operates airlines for passenger and cargo transportation within North America and globally.
