Billionaire hedge fund manager Philippe Laffont expressed regret for not investing more in Bitcoin, stating he wakes up at 3 a.m. every night thinking about it. He believes crypto will become a key portfolio component as institutional investors engage with it. Despite Bitcoin’s recent price stability, Laffont thinks its $2 trillion market value is still modest compared to global wealth. At the time of reporting, Bitcoin was trading at $105,014.93 according to Kraken’s price feed. Laffont made these remarks at Coinbase’s State of Crypto Summit in New York on June 12, 2025.
