Blue Yonder acquires Inmar Post-Purchase Solutions to support FedEx Easy Returns

Blue Yonder, a supply chain management company based in Scottsdale, Arizona, has acquired full ownership of Inmar Post-Purchase Solutions (IPPS) to support FedEx Easy Returns. Doddle, a subsidiary, facilitated the acquisition and will offer FedEx customers a low-cost, package-and label-free returns solution.
Blue Yonder now owns 100% of IPPS, with Doddle previously owning 49% since March 2022. FedEx Easy Returns is accessible at 3,000 drop-off locations in FedEx offices and Kohl’s stores across the U.S., with plans for expansion.
The company, now named Blue Yonder Reverse Retail Operations LLC, will continue to streamline the returns process for retailers with its Returns Management solution. This system allows consumers to return items without labels or packaging, improving efficiency for retailers.
Efficient returns are crucial for consumer experiences and cost optimization, according to CEO Duncan Angove. The acquisition aims to make returns convenient and hassle-free for retailers and consumers, addressing the growing volume of returns in the market.
Blue Yonder’s Returns Management system helps retailers optimize the returns process, enhancing speed, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness while simplifying returns for consumers. The goal is to streamline the reverse logistics process and improve the overall returns experience for all parties involved.
