Caledonia Mining Corporation Plc: High Grade Drill Results
From GlobeNewswire: 2025-06-23 02:00:00
Caledonia Mining Corporation Plc reported encouraging high-grade results from the ongoing resource expansion drill program at Blanket Mine. Results from 6,976 meters of underground drilling show grades and widths exceeding expectations. The program aims to increase confidence in the mineral resource and extend the life of the mine.
The drilling campaign at Blanket Mine confirms the continuity of the Blanket, Eroica, and Lima orebodies at depth. The results indicate better grades and widths than previously expected, contributing to upgrading the inferred mineral resource estimate. Additional drilling is planned to evaluate other orebodies at the mine.
Drilling results from the Blanket orebody area show strong grades and widths, with a new subparallel orebody discovered. Infill drilling has returned better grades and widths compared to the current mineral resource estimate. The results are promising for the potential extension of the mine’s life beyond current production horizons.
Exploration at Lima and Eroica orebodies has shown solid intersections, with potential extensions at Lima from 22 to 34 level. Future activities include defining shallow oxide mineral resources through surface trenching and reverse circulation drilling. The company remains optimistic about future mineral resource growth and production sustainability.
Drilling will continue to evaluate orebodies to the 38 level and beyond. A surface exploration project targeting the Banded Iron Formation is underway within Blanket Mine’s lease area. Initial surveys have identified anomalous zones with high-grade samples. Further exploration and mineral resource updates are anticipated by year-end.
