Campari is selling Cinzano vermouth brand to Caffo Group 1915 for €100m. The move is part of Campari’s strategy to focus more on core brands, following third-quarter results that missed forecasts. Cinzano and Frattina generated €75m in net sales last year, with a 5% CAGR over four years.

The deal excludes production facilities in Italy and Argentina. Campari will handle Cinzano products in certain markets after the transaction is finalized by the end of the year. Caffo Group 1915 sees the acquisition as a key step in its international growth journey.

Caffo Group 1915 CEO believes acquiring Cinzano will boost their international expansion. The brand’s history and iconic status will help them enter over 100 markets. They aim to leverage their experience in alcoholic beverages and sales network to maximize the brand’s potential, starting with a relaunch in Italy.
