The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Thailand Federation of Accounting Professions (TFAC) have extended their partnership for three more years to enhance accounting talent in Thailand. This collaboration aims to develop future-ready professionals by offering access to CIMA membership through practical experience requirements and professional qualification exams.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in 2019 allows TFAC members to pursue CIMA membership by passing the CGMA Professional Qualification Strategic Case Study Exam. This initiative is designed to improve professional standards within the accounting sector in Thailand and create new job opportunities for professionals in accounting, finance, and business.

CIMA Asia Pacific vice-president Venkkat Ramanan expressed excitement about the agreement renewal, highlighting the mission to advance the accounting and finance profession in Asia Pacific. The partnership with TFAC will provide Thai talent with the necessary insights, tools, and recognition to lead organizations confidently in a complex business environment.

TFAC president Winid Silamongkol emphasized the shared commitment to professional excellence, innovation, and advancing the management accounting profession in Thailand. The partnership between CIMA and TFAC is expected to have a meaningful and lasting impact on accounting, finance, and business professionals in Thailand, contributing to the workforce’s overall quality in the region.
