CoreWeave has secured a partnership with Google and OpenAI to provide computing capacity for services like ChatGPT. The deal, worth $11.9 billion over five years, also includes a $350 million equity stake from OpenAI. This partnership has been expanded with an additional agreement worth up to $4 billion, lasting until April 2029, to meet OpenAI’s escalating demand for high-performance computing resources. The collaboration could help CoreWeave diversify its revenue sources and boost Google’s cloud unit’s growth, positioning it as a neutral provider of computing resources in competition with Amazon and Microsoft.
