Corn prices are stable with USDA reports below expectations, but acres planted also fell short.

Corn prices remain stable on Monday, with USDA reports falling short of expectations. Prices are up by 1 ¼ to 3 cents midday, with the national average cash corn price at $3.92 1/4. Quarterly USDA report shows 4.643 bbu of corn in stocks on June 1, with 95.203 million acres planted. Brazil’s corn crop estimated at 130.6 MMT.

Export Inspections report shows 1.37 MMT of corn shipped in the week of 6/26, with Mexico, Japan, and South Korea as top destinations. Marketing year shipments now at 54.944 MMT, up 29.28% from last year. Corn futures for Jul 25 at $4.18 3/4, and Dec 25 at $4.25 3/4. No positions held by Austin Schroeder.
